My name is Elmer Joel, I am from the city of La Esperanza, Intibucá, Honduras. I serve
as Pastor of the Baptist Mission “Rios de Agua Viva” and teacher of biblical studies at
the Baptist Church “Bella Vista”. I am also studying for a Master’s Degree in Biblical
Interpretation at Todas Las Naciones Seminary, currently in the 12th semester,
beginning my thesis project.
One of the personal challenges in the master’s study was to find the topic for my thesis,
but what most caught my attention was one of the greatest needs of the people I work
with, the focus of our Baptist churches in the area is evangelism and Bible studies, but
our main obstacle is the illiteracy of our people that prevents them from using the Bible
and knowing the doctrine of the faith effectively and they are easy to deceive.
This problem gave rise to the idea of my thesis to use the Apostolic Creed. Catholicism
is very strong and with bad teaching, but also the teachings of other Christian churches
are lacking in biblical doctrine and proliferate in our mountains, so the creed can help us
with them to synthesize the fundamental doctrines of our faith, and they can memorize
it to defend themselves from doctrines far from the biblical text.
This fills me with joy because with this research I can bless my brethren and help my
fellow pastors to do our task efficiently and care for our sheep zealously. None of this
could be accomplished without God’s help, and I thank Him for this, but I also want to
thank the donors who are faithful to All Nations Ministries and I pray for you that God
will continue to bless you richly and mightily.

이 문제는 사도신경을 사용하자는 내 논문의 아이디어를 낳았습니다. 천주교는
매우 강하고 가르침이 좋지 못하지만 다른 기독교 교회의 가르침도 성경적
교리가 부족하고 우리 산에서 번성하기 때문에 그 신조는 우리가 우리 신앙의
근본 교리를 종합하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있고 암기 할 수 있습니다 성경 본문과
거리가 먼 교리로부터 자신을 방어하기 위해.
이 연구를 통해 나는 형제들을 축복하고 동료 목회자들이 우리의 일을
효율적으로 수행하고 양들을 열성적으로 돌보도록 도울 수 있기 때문에 기쁨으로
충만합니다. 이 모든 것은 하나님의 도우심이 없이는 이룰 수 없는 일이며, 이에
대해 하나님께 감사를 드리며, 또한 만국사역에 신실하신 후원자님께도 감사를

Maestría en Artes con énfasis en Interpretación Bíblica, 12° Bimestre

Mi nombre es Elmer Joel, soy de la Ciudad de La Esperanza, Intibucá, Honduras. Sirvo
como Pastor de la Misión Bautista “Ríos de Agua Viva” y maestro de estudios bíblicos
en la Iglesia bautista “Bella Vista”. También estudio la Maestría en Interpretación
Bíblica en el Seminario Todas Las Naciones, actualmente curso el semestre 12,
comenzando con el proyecto de tesis.
Uno de los retos en el estudio de maestría en lo personal fue encontrar el tema para mi
tesis, pero lo que más me llamo mi atención fue una de las necesidades más grandes con
la gente que trabajo, el enfoque de nuestras iglesias bautistas en la zona es el
evangelismo y los estudios Bíblicos, pero nuestro principal obstáculo es el
analfabetismo de nuestra gente que impide usar la Biblia y conocer la doctrina de la fe
con eficacia y son fáciles de engañar.
A raíz de este problema nace la idea de mi tesis de usar el Credo Apostólico. El
catolicismo es muy fuerte y con mala enseñanza, pero también las enseñanzas de otras
iglesias cristianas son carentes de doctrina bíblica y proliferan en nuestras montañas,
por lo que el credo nos puede ayudar con ellos a sintetizar las doctrinas fundamentales
de nuestra fe, y pueden memorizarlo para defenderse de las doctrinas lejanas del texto
Bíblico.
Esto me llena de gozo ya que con esta investigación puedo bendecirlos a mis hermanos
y ayudar a mis compañeros pastores a hacer nuestra tarea de manera eficiente y cuidar
nuestras ovejas celosamente. Nada de esto se podría llevar a cabo sin la ayuda de Dios,
y le doy gracias por esto, pero también quiero agradecer a los donadores que son fieles
con el Ministerio Todas Las Naciones y oro por ustedes para que Dios los siga
bendiciendo rica y poderosamente.
