My name is Damaris Martínez Reyes, I was born in Mexico City, I am 35 years old, I am currently in the fifth bimester of the Master’s in Biblical Interpretation Arts.

I was born into a Christian family, when I was five years old my parents received the call of God to serve as pastors. Since then my parents, my sister and I have moved to different parts of the republic in obedience to God’s call to my parents. I served happily because that’s how I grew up, it was part of my life. However, I did not have a personal relationship with God, it was until adulthood that my spiritual eyes were opened and I could clearly understand what the Gospel means, then I was genuinely converted to Christ.

After my conversion, approximately seven months after God called him to prepare me for his service, I experienced that call while I was at my work, there were people who asked about the mysteries of faith in Jesus Christ, I answered them what I knew, but I gave He says that they required deeper answers, one of the most interested people was my boss, every day he waited for me to ask me questions about the existence of God, good and evil, the origin of sin, etc.

Then I realized that I needed to prepare myself not to respond lightly. Before all this, the thought “you must prepare to respond” frequently came to my mind. The funny thing is that this thought did not arise from me, it simply appeared in my thought at the least expected moment, so I interpreted that God was calling me. One of those days my father came with an advertisement for the All Nations Seminar, then I knew that this information was the answer to God’s call. In agreement with my family we prayed that God would confirm my calling and decision to go to seminary. God responded by providing everything for him to travel to Ciudad Juarez.

When I began to study in the seminary I realized that not only pastors must prepare theologically, but every Christian has the responsibility to share the gospel effectively, it is necessary for pastors and church teachers to prepare in local churches. It is important that the Church is ready to respond wisely to those who thirst to learn the Gospel, but also to respond formally and with solid arguments to those who argue against the Gospel. In general, it is a latent need for the Church to prepare for a correct interpretation of the gospel. Because of this importance of preparation, I decided to enroll in a master of arts with an emphasis on biblical interpretation.

Currently I serve God full time at All Nations Seminary, my service is focused on spiritual formation on the residential campus. In this place the Lord allows me to participate in the formation of young people who are preparing to serve the Church. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in this ministry. Without a doubt God calls, prepares and assigns the place where he wants us to serve him, the only thing that is needed is obedience and disposition.

I know that you have received the call of God to raise up and support the ministry of All Nations Seminary, You have been obedient in providing what is necessary so that those called to service have facilities and preparation programs for ministerial, I give you the example for ministerial, I give you our grace, we currently receive support from you for ministerial preparation, but you have no doubt that you have sown a seed of love and generosity in us and we will practice this same love and disposition that you have taught us. 회심 후 약 7 개월 후, 하나님 께서 저를 그분의 봉사를 위해 준비하도록 부르신 지 약 7 개월이 지났을 때, 저는 직장에서 그 부름을 경험했습니다. 예수 그리스도를 믿는 신앙의 신비에 대해 묻는 사람들이 있었고 제가 아는 바에 대해 대답했습니다. 그러나 나는 그가 더 깊은 대답이 필요하다고 말했고, 가장 관심있는 사람 중 하나는 내 상사였으며, 매일 그는 내가 하나님의 존재, 선과 악, 죄의 기원 등에 대해 질문하기를 기다렸다.

신학교에서 공부를 시작했을 때 저는 목회자들이 신학 적으로 준비해야 할뿐만 아니라 모든 기독교인이 복음을 효과적으로 나눌 책임이 있다는 것을 깨달았습니다. 목회자와 교회 교사들은 지역 교회에서 공식적인 성경 교육을 제공 할 준비를해야한다는 것을 깨달았습니다. 교회가 복음을 배우고 자하는 사람들에게 현명하게 대응할 준비가되어 있고, 또한 복음에 반대하는 사람들에게 공식적이고 확고한 논쟁으로 대응할 준비가되어있는 것이 중요합니다. 일반적으로 교회는 복음에 대한 올바른 해석을 준비하는 것이 잠재적으로 필요합니다. 준비의 중요성 때문에 저는 성경 해석에 중점을두고 예술 석사에 등록하기로 결정했습니다.

현재 저는 All Nations Seminary에서 전 시간으로 하나님을 섬기고 있으며, 저의 봉사는 기숙사 캠퍼스에서의 영적 형성에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 이곳에서 주님은 제가 교회 봉사를 준비하는 젊은이들의 양성에 참여하도록 허락하셨습니다. 저는이 사역에서 봉사 할 수있는 기회에 감사드립니다. 의심 할 여지없이 하나님은 우리가 그분을 섬기기를 원하는 장소를 부르시고 준비 하시고 배정 하시고, 필요한 것은 순종과 성품뿐입니다.

Mi nombre es Damaris Martínez Reyes, nací en la ciudad de México, tengo 35 años, actualmente estoy cursando el quinto bimestre de la maestría en Artes de Interpretación Bíblica. 

Nací en el seno de una familia cristiana, cuando cumplí cinco años mis papás recibieron el llamado de Dios para servirle como pastores. Desde entonces mis padres, mi hermana y yo nos mudamos a diferentes lugares de la república en obediencia al llamado que Dios a mis padres. Yo servía alegremente porque así crecí, era parte de mi vida. Sin embargo, no tenía una relación personal con Dios, fue hasta edad adulta cuando mis ojos espirituales se abrieron y pude comprender claramente lo que significa el Evangelio, entonces me convertí a Cristo genuinamente. 

Despues de mi conversión, aproximadamente siete meses despues Dios le llamó a prepararme para su servicio, experimenté ese llamado mientras estaba en mi trabajo, había personas que preguntaban sobre los misterios de la fe en Jesucristo, yo les respondía lo que sabía, pero me di cuenta que requerían respuestas más profundas, una de las personas más interesadas era mi jefe, todos los días me esperaba para hacerme preguntas sobre la existencia de Dios, el bien y el mal, el origen del pecado, etc. 

Entonces me di cuenta que necesitaba prepararme para no responder ligeramente. Antes de todo esto frecuentemente llegaba a mi mente el pensamiento “debes prepararte para dar respuesta” lo curioso es que ese pensamiento no surgía de mí, simplemente se presentaba en mi pensamiento en el momento menos esperado, entonces interpreté que Dios me estaba llamando. Uno de esos días mi papá llegó con publicidad del Seminario Todas la Naciones, entonces supe que esa información era la respuesta al llamado de Dios. En acuerdo con mi familia oramos para que Dios confirmara mi llamado y la decisión de ir al seminario. Dios respondió proveyendo todo para que viajara a Ciudad Juarez.  

Cuando empecé a estudiar en el seminario me di cuenta que todo no solo los pastores deben prepararse teológicamente, sino todo cristiano tiene la responsabilidad para compartir el evangelio con eficacia, es necesario que los pastores y maestros de iglesias se preparen para ofrecer una educación bíblica formal en las iglesias locales. Es importante que la Iglesia esté lista para responder con sabiduría a quienes tienen sed de aprender del Evangelio, pero tambien para responder formalmente y con argumentos sólidos a quienes rebaten en contra del Evangelio. En general es una necesidad latente que la Iglesia se prepare para una interpretación correcta del evangelio. Por esta importancia de la preparación, decidí inscribirme a la maestría en artes con énfasis en interpretación bíblica. 

Actualmente sirvo a Dios de tiempo completo en el Seminario Todas las Naciones, mi servicio está enfocado a la formación espiritual en el campus recidencial. En este lugar el Señor me permite participar en la formación de jóvenes que se preparan para servir a la Iglesia. Me siento agradecida por tener la oportunidad servir en este ministerio. Sin duda Dios llama, prepara y asigna el lugar donde quiere que le sirvamos, los únicos que hace falta es obediencia y disposición. 

Sé que ustedes han recibido el llamado de Dios a levantar y respaldar el ministerio del Seminario Todas la Naciones, Han sido obedientes al proveer lo necesario para que los llamados al servicio tengan instalaciones y programas de preparación ministerial, les doy las gracias porque son ejemplo para nosotros, actualmente recibimos apoyo de ustedes para la preparación ministerial, pero no tengan duda de que han sembrado una semilla de amor y generosidad en nosotros y practicaremos este mismo amor y disposición que nos han enseñado. Mi deseo es que Dios les bendiga abundante mente.
